I.T.P. SRL is able to support companies during the crucial phase of identifying the optimal packaging material, implementing protocols and selection strategies consolidated over nearly 10 years of experience.
We accompany the client from the packaging design phase, moving from the selection of potential packaging materials to the market launch of the products.
In addition to traditional materials, the expertise of I.T.P. SRL also extends to active packaging. The latter, through appropriate chemical-physical functionalizations, is able to increase the shelf-life of products. Examples include oxygen reduction (scavenger effect), the concentration of the main microorganisms responsible for degradation (bio-scavenger).
I.T.P. SRL is able to support companies in the phases of:
- Design and construction of prototype plants for the surface treatment and functionalization of polymeric materials
- Bio-conjugation with antimicrobial peptides of previously functionalized materials
- Verification, through appropriate analytical techniques, of bio-conjugation yields and optimal treatment conditions (temperature, maximum peptide concentration in solution, pH, etc.)
- Conducting shelf life tests to verify the performance of treated materials, in terms of peptide release and antimicrobial efficacy, during the commercial life of the product
